We have booked White Sands Resort on the East Coast for those 2 nights for our Annual Ausmas Weekend.
Friday 22nd we will again host a film night in the Theatre, and Chris is sourcing some great viewing again for us. If you wish to join members in the Dining room before the film, please make a separate booking for dinner when booking your accommodation.
The Villa’s have full kitchens etc. so those attending can prepare meals. But we do ask you attend the Ausmas Dinner on Saturday night.
Saturday 23rd will again be our Ausmas Dinner at night, with choices being made from the a la carte Menu.
During the day is at your leisure with a meeting of those who wish to partake in the Tastings set down for mid afternoon in the Ironhouse Brewery.
White Sands have offered us a discount being returning visitors of $135 per night for 2 people and $25 per person for extra in the Villa.

Last Sunday of each month – Classic Cars and Coffee – Shoreline Community Centre, Howrah. 9am onwards.
The Committee wish to inform members that we will be resurrecting our Cat Chats each month after our normal Committee meetings. They will be held at the Carlyle Hotel, Moonah in the upstairs function room from approximately 7pm onwards, on the first Monday of each month.
It is hoped to have Special Guest speakers and/or films of interest.
Members are also welcome to join the Committee for a meal at 5.30pm prior to the committee meeting and Cat Chat.
The Carlyle currently offer $9.95 senior meals.
– Wednesday 3 August – the forecast is a tropical 13° C with a possibility of showers.
– starting at the Rivulet Café, bottom of Anglesea Street, South Hobart, around 10.30am for morning coffee.
– parking – please park, as always, on the new parking area to leave spaces closer to the swings etc for the young families.
– departing soon after 11.30am and arriving around 12.30pm for drinks with lunch at 1pm.
The cost is $30 a head from a fixed menu or you can choose from the a la carte menu.
Venue clue – we were there last year, good food and service, there’s ample parking, about an hour’s pleasant drive ….

Classic cars gather at Beach Rd. Lower Sandy Bay, Hobart in front of the Beach House Apartments. Anyone is welcome.
Monthly midweek lunch run for JCCT members – Back at Last!
In our new format for the Lunch Run, we will assemble in the carpark at the NAMT in Launceston at around 11.30am for a midday departure. There will be NO official gathering venue for coffee and participants are encouraged to bring a carry out or obtain one from a local cafe. After greeting each other with appropriate social distancing we will depart for our Run and lunch destination as normal. This will continue to be the format for future Lunch Runs until further notice.
RSVPs are essential for catering purposes, and MUST be made by the Sunday before the event
to Gordon Barnard on 0414 903 791.
This is necessary to comply with regulations covering venues and may also influence the selection of a venue.
